Only 20 minutes from the Mississippi River, Elkader sits on the western edge of the Driftless Region and provides some of the most beautiful scenery in Iowa.  Rolling hills, striking views, and historic towns await you in Clayton County.

We are located on Main Street, just off Bridge Street, in the heart of Elkader.

How to Find Us

Schera’s overlooks the Turkey River right next to the Keystone Bridge, one of Elkader’s 9 historic structures on the National Register.

Across the bridge lies another building on the National Register, the Clayton County Court House.
